Blueprint receives the BioFinland Award 2017
We are very proud and thankful to receive the BioFinland Award 2017, today on March 29th. This is a great recognition to the whole team that constantly works to bring genetic testing of inherited disorders into mainstream healthcare, cost efficiently without ever compromising quality. The awards is presented by the Finnish Bioindustries FIB, Finland’s biotechnology industry association.
The BioFinland award is given to a Finnish person, organisation or company, whos innovation in the bioindustry sector has evolved into an internationally significant product, that brings a positive image to the sector and international visibility. The award is presented every second year and the previous winners have been: Finnzymes Oy (v. 2007), Biosilta Oy (2009), Oncos Therapeutics (2011) Glykos Finland Oy (2013) ja Biovian Oy (2015).

Finnish Bioindustries FIB is Finland’s biotechnology industry association, established in 1997. It is a private, independent non-profit organisation. Member companies represent all life science areas, from health care and functional food to biomaterials. One of the main tasks is to help the work of commercializing new areas of biotechnology.
Start-up hi-tech companies have the opportunity to share their experience and problems with each other using the platform provided by Finnish Bioindustries.
Extensive legislation in Finland and Europe regulates the activities of the industry. Finnish Bioindustries supports national and international cooperation for the preparation and surveillance of biotechnology legislation.
Finnish Bioindustries is a national member of EuropaBio (European Association for Biotechnology), which was founded in 1996 to promote the European biotechnology industry. FIB is also a member of the US based BIO (Biotechnology Industry Organisation) and the Australian AusBiotech.
